The business challenge

People want a phone wallpaper that is uniquely theirs, but design tools are complex and wallpaper apps only offer the same images everyone else downloads.

Project objectives

Make original wallpaper design simple
Export at the exact screen resolution
Set wallpapers directly from the app
Work offline without reading the user's photos

The solution

An Android app for making original wallpapers with gradients, mesh blends, abstract shapes, and geometric patterns. Users adjust a few sliders, then save at their screen's exact resolution or set the wallpaper in one tap.

Design & development approach

Built six focused creative tools instead of one complex editor
Saved every design with its settings so it can be reopened and tweaked
Kept the app private: no account, no server, no photo access

Key features

Gradient Studio, Mesh Gradients, Abstract Art, Geometric Patterns, Minimal, and Noise & Texture
Exact HEX picker, 16 palettes, colour harmonies, and blur, glow, vignette, and grain effects
Export at screen resolution, FHD+, QHD+, or custom sizes up to 4096 px
Set as home screen, lock screen, or both
Library of saved designs plus 100+ ready-made designs
